Taiko Foods is a leading sushi manufacturer in the UK. The company was started in July 1997 to meet the growing demand for Far Eastern Cuisine in London.
Our primary target is to provide the best authentic quality Sushi possible to our consumers. To stay authentic as possible, much of the Sushi is hand made, for example, the rolls are made using traditional wooden rolling mats by well trained staff, unlike other Sushi factories who use machines to make maki rolls.
Our main customers include Waitrose Supermarkets and Pret A Manger, the sandwich store chain. Together with these high quality retailers, over the years, we have continued to develop Sushi to the highest quality. Proactive thought in the development of Sushi ingredients and products continues this trend today.
Since 1997 the company has progressed on from manufacturing Sushi alone, and now produces a range of Chinese Dim Sum. Product development is continuous and our product portfolio regularly changes to meet customer requirement.
We are able to cater for any customer, for any occasion. If a company requires large party sets once a week or if a customer requires 50 Sushi lunch packs a day, we take pride in looking after all of our customers.
Distributing Savoury Snacks across the UK and Europe, selling Japanese Sushi ingredients, frozen fish, various Japanese ambient products and canned Japanese Green Tea have also become important parts of our business in the UK.
